Privacy policy

The short version

• The extension does its work inside your browser. The conversations you export are read from the page you have open and turned into a PDF or Markdown file locally. Conversation content never leaves your browser.
• It sends a minimal set of counters and one identifier to a server we run on Cloudflare, only to enforce the free-plan limit and to check PRO status.
• When you buy PRO, Stripe processes the payment. We receive your name and email to issue the legally required receipt and to link PRO to your install. We never see your card number.
• No analytics, no advertising trackers, no selling of data, on the extension or on this website.

What stays in your browser

• The conversations you export. AI to PDF reads the chat open in your tab on chatgpt.com, claude.ai, gemini.google.com or chat.deepseek.com, rebuilds it as a document and hands it to Chrome, which saves the PDF, or downloads the Markdown file. No part of the conversation, including images, is transmitted to us or to anyone else. Images are fetched by your own browser session, exactly as the page itself fetches them.
• Your settings (format, document theme) and a list of recent exports so you can download them again from the History tab. You can clear the list at any time; it is deleted when you uninstall.
• The extension only runs on the four supported chat sites. It has no permission to read other tabs or your browsing history.

What reaches our server

• A randomly generated install identifier, created when the extension is installed. It is not linked to your name or email unless you buy PRO. Chrome may sync it to your Google account with the rest of the extension’s settings, which is how the free limit survives a reinstall on the same browser.
• The type of export (PDF or Markdown) and, for free-plan PDF exports, a daily count. This is what enforces the limit of 3 PDF exports a day. Markdown exports are answered from the stored plan status and do not increment anything.
• PRO status checks: when the panel opens, it asks the server whether this install is PRO. The request carries the install identifier and nothing else.
• If you activate PRO on another device with your checkout email, that email is sent once to find your purchase and is stored with the new install identifier.

The server is a Cloudflare Worker with a key-value store. It keeps no logs of conversation content because it never receives any. The same text is published inside the extension’s own privacy page for the Chrome Web Store.

Payments and receipts

• PRO subscriptions are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. Stripe collects your card details, name, email and, for tax purposes, your country. We never receive or store card numbers. Stripe’s own privacy policy applies to the checkout.
• From Stripe we receive your name, email, country and the amount paid. We use them to (a) grant PRO to your install, (b) issue the receipt Greek law requires for every sale, and (c) answer support requests.
• Receipts are issued through our invoicing provider (Workadu, Greece) and reported to the Greek tax authority (AADE myDATA), as required by law. Your name and email appear on the receipt.
• Charges appear as PIXON on your statement.

This website

aitopdf.app is a static website. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, produces standard, anonymous server logs. The upgrade page forwards you to Stripe’s checkout; from that point Stripe’s policy applies.

Where data lives and for how long

• On your device: until you uninstall the extension or clear its storage.
• On our server (Cloudflare, EU/US edge): free-plan counters are simple daily tallies; PRO records are kept while your subscription is active and up to 90 days after cancellation.
• Payment and receipt records: kept for the period Greek tax law requires (currently 5 years).

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to its use. Email [email protected] and include your Install ID (shown in the extension’s PRO tab) so we can find the record. Receipt records required by tax law cannot be deleted before the retention period ends. You may also complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr).

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published here with a new date, and material changes are mentioned in the changelog. The billing hub for all PIXON apps, with the same policy, is at pixon.gr/apps/privacy.
